What Multilingual VisualRep Means To You:

With multilingual VisualRep, your reports and queries can run in more than one language with no programming required by you. Clearly, VisualRep is now the premier query and reporting tool for and Visual FoxPro.

  • Application users can change languages on the fly.
  • Each application user can run reports and queries in her own language.
  • VisualRep even handles languages written from right to left (Hebrew, Arabic, etc.).
  • VisualRep handles double-byte languages.

In this example, the expression entered to replace Company/Name: with the Spanish translation is: Empresa/Nome: VisualRep has the capability to work with different languages. To change any language you will need to go in the VisualRep General setup form and check mark the Multilingual option and also change to the default language via the drop down list. To load the Multilingual module just double click on the VRepMLT.exe found in the C:/VRep folder. You may also click the Multilingual Manager from the VisualRep menu.

Creating new language is quite easy, see the steps in the Multilingual manager subject. You may also create new strings for your reports. This way all of your reports captions will be localized to the selected language. In addition you can create a language hook to your application within VisualRep. Using that hook, which could be the language ID of your application, will provide VisualRep the means to find your application language in VisualRep and set itself automatically to the new selected language from your application.
